SPACE…
I read an interview with Tim Winton this week that captured something meaningful to me…
Australia is a continent where there is more space than people.
Many of us have grown up with a wide sky and therefore we are wired differently, our brains recognising vast spatial awareness. Overtime, the visible Australian horizon changes your brain and your character.
As Australians, we have become accustomed to a sense of physical, personal and to an extent mental space. Our responsibility may be not only maintain this pristine space externally, but also internally.
BREATH…
We need mental space, time to ponder and take a breath, to be reminded of our own a vastness.
Internally breath creates space; mental space, physical space, and emotional clarity.
The breath, steady and slow, affects our heart rate, our nervous system, and our brain. Breath is medicine.
It is the easiest way to create space within when the skyline is not as vast and visible to our wide scope. Treasure it.
