“The World exists to set us free”
Placing ourselves in a ‘tight spot’ through whatever we choose to do can always bring both joy and tension. A yoga posture, a meditation practice, a nutritional plan or a large project we take on in life, may place a certain pressure upon ourselves.
We discipline ourselves to produce an outcome that we perceive will be beneficial for us and for others. This is called “eustress” (good stress) and it achieves, creates, and establishes something new. Walking intentionally in small incremental steps towards our goal…this is yoga.
Yoga is a discipline and philosophy that encourages us to see beyond our limitations, beyond our suffering, and to experience joy and freedom. Even when we are in a tight spot, choose to view it wisely through the yogic understanding, “the world exists to set us free”.

Ayurvedic Massage and Yoga Therapy course starting soon:
Ayurvedic massage is based on ancient wisdom about the mind-body-energy connection and affects all levels of the mind, soul and senses. Traditional Ayurvedic massage is a full body massage that heals from head to toe, with a focus on marma points – classical healing pressure points that can alter the organic function and structural condition of the body. The use of marma therapy and the transfer of prana between therapist and client are essential to the healing process.
Deep seated vata, pitta, kapha imbalances can be addressed, with emotionally hindrances and pranic blockages cleared. This nourishes the tissues and entire system at a cellular level. With Ayurvedic principles largely based on prevention, rather than cure, the intention is to encourage vitality, health and longevity.
This is part of a one or two year yoga therapy course, but may be undertaken on its own for 8 weeks. BOOKINGS at YIMI: http://www.yimi.com.au/courses/ayurveda-courses/ayurvedic-massage/
Towards a Gentler Heart Retreat
This retreat will look at the many mental, emotional physical and spiritual ways we can create a gentler way of being. Finding our blind spots on a physical and emotional level can be immensely helpful, and the practices we will use are proven to work through the passage of time.
We will practice compassion through yoga asana, pranayama, meditation, sound, written word, and a sacred Ayurvedic fire cleansing ritual. With power of yogic intention (sankalpa) will create an unshakable inner strength within ourselves and a gentler heart.
Please join us to make the scared fire ritual a powerful one.
Sunday 27th July 2014:
9:30am-12:30pm Join us for Asana and Pranayama Practice
1:30pm-4:30pm Join us for Meditation: Sitting, walking, eating meditation, and fire ritual.
