Virabhadrasana 1: Warrior Pose 1
Someone commented to me in class how much they enjoy this pose. I agree. This is why:
- It strengthens the legs, our base and our connection to the Earth.
- It opens the chest, heart and lungs.
- It helps our posture if it is slumped, or hunched.
- It improves digestion, stretching abdominal muscle & stomach meridian, and tones the digestive organs within.
NOTE: (take caution with lower back pain, do not back bend, just remain upright)
