Join Celia Roberts and Special Guest Dr Lauren Tober this April 2018
Clinical Yoga Therapy, Lucid Dream Meditation, & Yoga Nidra for Healthy and Restorative Sleep
Saturday 28 April 2018 & Sunday 29 April, 2018
Full Retreat Rate $245
This fundamental recuperative health weekend is aimed at anyone who struggles with, or is interested in any aspect of restorative sleep. There are perceptions in today’s society that we are invincible; that at the apex of this technological epoch availability is 24/7, service is on demand, and sleep is a negotiable entity, rather than a necessity. More detrimental to our health is that even when we are resting, we are not. Our minds are swirling around in anxious circles unable to switch off. This pattern of fear-based exhaustion causes our bodies, our holistic wellbeing to circle in suffering, rather than toward enlightenment.
Join Celia and Special Guest Dr Lauren Tober over two days to explore Clinical Yoga Therapy that opens avenues towards addressing sleep debt and Ayurvedic sleep philosophy; Lucid dream mediation that cultivates an awakening toward a space where reality and perception meet in non-judgmental awareness; as well as iRest hosted by Dr Lauren Tober founder of the Centre for Mind Body Wellness in Mullumbimby (near Byron Bay, Australia) and Capturing Gratitude, a free global photographic happiness project. I’m also the creator of several acclaimed online courses, including A Daily Dose of Bliss, Living Your Heartfelt Desires and Meditation, Pure + Simple.

There is an overwhelming amount of research towards the necessities of sleep and the impact a lack of sleep has on our quality of life. In fact, research has shown that without a minimum of approximately 6-8 hours sleep we begin to fall into a pattern that begins a vicious cycle of an ever-increasing effect of sleep deprivation (sleep debt). This is where the cumulative effect of a build up in sleep pressure causes the brain to be unable to make sense of the day’s events (the processes of memory consolidation and integration), or rid itself of toxic by products, leading to negative symptomology that perpetuates the inability to sleep. (Read more about sleep debt here)
This morning session will explore the necessities of cultivating healthy sleep through ayurvedic wisdom as well as opening opportunities of learning to create a yoga practice that assists in all aspects of restorative health. Celia will gently guide you through the wisdom and the practice, while acknowledging both the struggles and the benefits of working toward overcoming embedded sleep habits.
